So how does a one-person play work?

First of all, it takes a special actor to be able to pull it off....and of course a good script.

With ZERO, we've got them both!  This will be the third one-man play for actor Danny O'Connor, and he gets better with each one.  This is also the second original script that he has written with the help of his brother, Robert.

It takes energy, enthusiasm, hard work, and of course a lot of talent.  We think once you see ZERO, you'll agree that Danny has all four in spades.

BUT, in case you'd like to see a sample of what it might be like, we have provided a 17 minute video of his most recent one-man play, "Random Cat Syndrome" for your enjoyment and to give you an idea of what this might be like.  PLEASE remember, that  a video is nowhere near as good or as much fun as a live theatre experience.  But watching this snippet will give you a glimpse at why we know we have the right actor and the right playwrights for our production of ZERO.

If you download this sample, you will be able to see the first two scenes of "Random Cat Syndrome" (RCS) as performed three years ago in downtown Boston.  You will see that the way we do a one-man show is quite unique, with the interaction of three actors on stage at one time as seen in the first scene.  The second scene of RCS is a hilarious monologue.  ZERO, too, has some scenes with multiple characters and others as monologues.  We hope you enjoy!  And PLEASE let us know what you think!

Mostly we hope you'll enjoy this video clip as an appetizer to the feast that ZERO is in live production.

The Video samples are now available on our Random Cat Syndrome web site.  Click on www.randomcatsyndrome.com to download and/or view them.  If you'd like to see the rest of the play (after you've seen Zero), please send us an email at info@randomcatsyndrome.com and we'll give you details on how to either order a DVD of the entire play (currently available) or to download and view the entire play on your computer.  Eventually DVD's of Zero will also be available.  More information about those will be forthcoming on this web site.  Please enjoy, and tell your friends and family!!
